The studio benefits from Cambridge's position as the UK's premier technology and innovation centre, as well as the advantages of its proximity to Cambridge University, one of the world's most renowned academic institutions. Cambridge is also well known as an area which has maintained a games development community for the last 30 years.
The modern offices are within walking distance of the main Cambridge railway station. With 75+ members of staff, the studio also houses an animation suite, and a state of the art audio studio.
Cambridge Studio's diverse portfolio includes the BAFTA (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts) -winning "MediEvil™" series, "Primal™", and "GhostHunter™". The studio, in collaboration with Ninja Theory, also developed the critically acclaimed and visually outstanding PLAYSTATION®3 title "Heavenly Sword". The team has also worked closely with Hollywood studios, notably 20th Century Fox, whose global award-winning hit TV series "24™" was realised on PlayStation®2 by Cambridge Studio.
In addition, the studio has been closely involved in the development of PlayTV, the set-top box which brings PVR technology to PLAYSTATION®3, enabling users to watch, pause and record free digital TV through the PLAYSTATION®3.
