Naughty Dog was originally founded in 1986 and has been creating high quality interactive entertainment ever since - developing exclusively for the PlayStation® since 1994 and becoming a Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) development studio in 2001. Today, it is a premier Playstation®3 developer whose top-selling and critically acclaimed titles have raised the bar with exceptional storytelling, game design and technical mastery, made possible by the studio's unconventional, highly collaborative and exciting work environment.
Naughty Dog has built a solid reputation for consistently producing award winning best-sellers across a number of genres over the past 15 years. Its first major success came with the "Crash Bandicoot" franchise on the original PlayStation®in the mid 1990s. After becoming part of SCE in 2001, Naughty Dog created its next big-hitting game with "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy", which served as the foundation for a PlayStation®2 franchise based on the adventures of these two unlikely heroes. In late 2007, Naughty Dog released its debut PLAYSTATION®3 title, "UNCHARTED: Drake's Fortune®", kicking off a franchise whose highly-anticipated second title, "UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves™", was released in the Fall of 2009. To date, Naughty Dog has sold over 40 million units, totalling over USD $1 billion in sales.
Based in Santa Monica and just off the I-10 highway, Naughty Dog is easily accessible from nearly all points of Los Angeles, and is close to several beaches, Santa Monica Pier, The Third Street Promenade and Main Street shopping areas. Located within the Water Garden office complex, Naughty Dog is just blocks away from another SCE development studio, Santa Monica Studio.
When not enjoying the temperate year-round weather of sunny Southern California, you can find many Naughty Dogs playing on the studio's active basketball team, participating in yoga sessions at the office, spending time together in group outings or even honing their skills in regular figure drawing sessions.
